Training is paramount to a company’s needs as this ties in directly with Health and Safety law. From a personal point of view, training is key to progression and is a vital step towards competence.
Through NVQ assessing, a candidate can demonstrate in real time that they can meet the criteria set by an awarding body using evidence which has been gathered naturally throughout their working day. Obtaining an NVQ can lead to official cards being supplied by the likes of the Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS).
Testing is just as important as training and assessment. It safe guards both the worker and their employee. For example, Face Fit Testing should be carried out annually. This gives peace of mind that the mask in question is in fully working order but also that a company can show they care about the health and wellbeing of their workforce.
